![]() ![]() This is playing by ironman mode, of course NOT using MODs. I actually quit that game because after capitulating the allies so early, having full access to all their resources and sporting something ridiculous like 400 factories by Sept 1940, I didn't see the challenge in continuing. Last go, I went for historical wardec timing, and was still able to Blitzkrieg Poland and France before 1940 without a lot tanks, and sank the RN into the Channel and the North Sea, losing about 10 DDs total, launching and completing Sea Lion by Autumn of 1940. You have enough air power and army strength to roll Poland and France, anyhow.įocusing heavily into the Kriegsmarine typically gets me to the point where I am more than comfortable taking my now 60-70+ strong fleet of technologically superior ships into the channel by early 1940. Usually, I'm able to add maybe one additional division by the time the war starts. Even then, I usually sport a 5-6k strong Luftwaffe by mid 1939. Your base military factories are enough to supply your initial army buildup until you have your dockyards. Typically, this lets me add roughly 30-40 DDs, 10-15 CLs, 3-4CAs, 1-2 BBs, a SHBB, and 2-3 CVs by the time of a historically timed wardec on Poland. Honestly, I found it easiest to make sure my industrial and electronic research was top notch, and from there, just focus primarily on naval research and dockyard construction I'm more than happy to start churning out military factories once I have between 30 and 40 naval dockyards. I am struggling to get to grips with the game but enthusiastic to learn and not give up. How do I know what planes are needed to gain the advantage?Īpologies for all the questions guys. Is there a way to see how many planes the enemy has in a current area? And then would I just make more of a specific plane to match that number? How do you know how many troops/tanks etc are needed for a specific task? If I concentrate on a para invasion, with air cover, how many para units do I need? This is where im most confused. (TACs cost more but have better range)Īlways focus on industry, be up to date and there shouldn't be a need for a specific order. Close air support or tactical bombers make live on the ground a lot easier. ![]() 4 carriers (heavy naval investment, delays invasion of the soviets and you basicly give tanks up for 1942) and carefull navy managment (have your navy in only one place and pick only small fights, not the whole RN) can give you navy supremacy.Īlternativly focus on paratroopers and fighters and paradrop the Brits.
